this is written by one of the most beautiful people that i’ve ever met. if you’ve seen her, you might think i’m referring to the way she looks. if you know her, you know that that isn’t remotely to what i’m referring. this blog post brought me to tears and to the much needed reminder that to live life to the full, to live in this broken, messy, sometimes not so clear,...

Some days I just want to scream.
And today has just been one of those days. It also happens to be the day my blog post is due.
So welp, here goes.
Actually, here goes round 2.
I already typed up a whole great blog post on anger that I was planning on passing off as a last minute thrown-together-sort-of-thing whilst simultaneously feigning a humble ‘oh gosh, how my thoughts came together so...

life. and the fight to live it.
i’m struggling with depression. and i’m going to start blogging about it.
i think i have struggled with depression on and off my whole life. it’s a struggle i’m not convinced i’ll ever be completely free of on this side of Heaven. maybe, but that’s not what i’m banking my hope on. i know one day depression won’t make the slightest dent in my memory...

In a sermon from Luke 7:36-50 by Matt Adair a few weeks ago, he made this statement:
‘The greatest power to set you free from the addictions, afflictions and assorted troubles of this world is the felt love of Jesus.”

i love knowing that the Gospel is literally all around us. everyday. in everything. in interactions big and small, significant and seemingly insignificant. God wastes not even a second in trying to convince His children and this broken world that He is good and that He is Love. oh, if i had the eyes to always see Him. and His unending grace upon grace.

Mark Driscoll came to Athens this weekend to talk about love and life. If you don’t know who Mark Driscoll is, that probably doesn’t mean much to you. But if you know what love, life, or lovelife mean (and even if you are still in the process of figuring all those out), then you want to check out these notes. Everything about the conference was wonderful: the band, the content, the...
